Chapter 6 -The start of the local revitalization from Tokyo, Tanagura Big Family and its guesthouse project.

Now we are in the main theme, Tanagura Big Family!

This is the challenge towards the original concept of "family" and the limit of local revitalization!

I've written a lot through Chapter 1 to 5. And now I'm ready to talk about Tanagura Big Family in detail.

Usually, "family" is reffered to as a group of people connected by blood or marital relationship. In the past, one family would have 3-4 generations such as grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren. Now, one family has only 1-2 generations, either DINKS (Double Income No KidS) or parents living with only kids.

The "family" is getting small, isn't it?

This is why I suggest that we should recognize "family" not from a factanal point of view like blood and marital relationship, but from a functional point of view.

What would be the ideal functions of the "family"?

  • Respects each other as a willful individual
  • Help each other in need
  • Celebrate together on happy occasions
  • Share knowledge and experience
  • Think about the future together

If the group functions in this way, it should be called "family". And I call this a "big family", including the expand concept of "family".

And here, I prepare one bond instead of blood and marital relationship. This is Tanagura Town. I would like to create the community "Tanagura Big Family" by using Tanagura Town as its bond.

For a while, I will go on to create the community based on real and web platforms considering these two points.

  1. To acquire pure recall of Tanagura Town
  2. To be able to take actions subjectively without living there

We always welcome people who agree with us and challenge with us! Why not join us? It must be fun!
