Perhaps, only a few residents of Tsurumi know where this tree is.
This tree is located along the Tsurumi River near Takanobashi Jindoukyou Bridge. This area, the north edge of Tsurumi Ward, is adjacent to Kawasaki City and Kouhoku Ward of Yokohama City, and is often crowded with local residents spending time taking a walk, running, cycling, fishing, and even playing baseball.
As you can easily imagine, there is no tall building in this area so this tree, which is much taller and looks much older than the other trees around it, stands out very well. When I saw this tree for the first time, I thought that it would be a good subject of photography, and at the same time, I felt from my intuition that this tree must have stories to be told.
This tree seems to have no name. No hits on the internet, either. I started calling this tree "Mother Tree of Tsurumi" (鶴見を見守る木 in Japanese), and started shooting this tree while hoping that any nice story would come out from this action.
Here, I would like to share some of my photos after the long-awaited success of shooting a snowscape the other day.
I hope that any nice story comes out from this action.
