There is a plum garden called "Ikegami Baien" in my current town. Then, there's no way not to visit this nice place to welcome my second challenge to Ume blossoms.
The first challenge of this year was at Shinjuku Central Park. I found it quite difficult to shoot Ume blossoms beautifully so I reviewed and summarized the key factors of macro photography of Ume blossoms for now.
This garden has various types of Ume blossoms. I hope you feel the Japan's beauty of March from the photos below.
It was cloudy today but there were a lot of the elderly in this garden.
The garden was full of Ume trees. You will see various colors of Ume blossoms from the white color to the dark pink color. You only need 100 yen to enter this nice plum garden.
Even though the Ume blossoms gather more sparsely than Sakura blossoms, you must feel the big presence of the blossoms from this wide-angle photo. This is how this plum garden is great.
This is the most common type of Ume blossoms. As the sky was white today, it was relatively hard to make the image of the Ume blossoms stand out in the photo. This is why I put the dark thin branches around the peripheries of the blossoms.
Here's the dark pink Ume Blossoms. The contrast of this color and the lime color has created some fairytale-like impressions.
This is very Japanese. This is very close to my ideal image of Ume blossoms at a Japanese Garden.
This photo was from the observation space at the top of the hill. The blossoms were a bit far so I used the zoom lens of 70-200mm. The good point of shooting from the top is that I can put pink Ume blossoms as a background, that is, I can fill the whole photo with this pink atmosphere. I love this sour-sweet color of the pink and the red.
The Ume blossoms and the Japanese tea house go pretty well in March.
This is the white Ume blossoms. As the background is this lime color, the atmosphere is quite relaxing and gentle.
I've uploaded the Ume blossoms of the dark pink, the white, the pink and red so far. The last photo is this gentle pink color. I love this the most from this garden.
I got closer to the blossoms. It is quite nice to enjoy various types of Ume blossoms at one place. Why not visit Ikegami Baien Plum Garden to enjoy Ume blossoms?
