Guardian Deities of Children at Zojoji Temple Give You a Refreshing View with Lots of Pinwheel!

Guardian Deities of Children at Zojoji Temple

Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF50mm F1.4 USM (50mm, f/4, 1/50 sec, ISO-320)

I had a chance to visit Zojoji Temple, one of the biggest temples in Tokyo located at the foot of Tokyo Tower. Today, I found a lot of Guardian Deities of Children at the right side of the main hall.

They say that these statues are donations from parents who wish for their children's healthy growth. There are now around 1200 statues, which is the result of about 40 years donations.

One funny point is that colorful pinwheels are set in front of the statues, which spin round and round when the wind blows. As the number of pinwheels look uncountable, the view is worth visiting the temple for.
