Trying to Shoot Capricious Rainbow Ferris Wheel of Yokohama

Rainbow Ferris Wheel of Yokohama from Queens Square

Canon EOS 6D, Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 IIDG HSM (24mm, f/5.6, 1/15 sec, ISO-6400)

All of my photos were by long exposure when I came to Yokohama last time. This is why the Ferris wheel looked white in the previous post.

This time I tried my best to shoot the Ferris wheel in rainbow colors.

Canon EOS 6D, Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 IIDG HSM (20mm, f/5.6, 1/15 sec, ISO-6400)

I had two difficulties in shooting these photos. One is that I needed to choose low F-number, slow shatter speed and high ISO because the color changes and moves rapidly. But such setting often leads to a bad picture quality, and you need to hold your camera in a chilly air. Another is that this Ferris wheel has some blank time in which almost no lights are available. It turned out that if the wheel once enters into the blank time, it seems to last for about 15 minutes. If you are visiting here for the first time, you might think that the illuminations have ended and you might decide to go home. But the thing is that you can see the rainbow colors if you wait a bit. Don't miss this beautiful scenery!
