This is the first post for photography in Tokyo this year since I had been staying in Niigata during the new year's day. I selected Futako-Tamagawa for the first photography spot because the weather seemed fine and I didn't have any opportunity to shoot sunset here since last May. The title of the post is "Winding River", targeting the winding Tama River in the sunset time.
This time, I'm expecting another beautiful sunset, of course. But I was focusing more on how I could clip something which left some feelings in my heart.
Time flies fast. As I arrived at the park at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I had little time looking for good subjects. But I hope any of these would make you feel something.
Hyogoshima Park is well-known for its vast land along Tama River, which is just 5 minutes away from Futako-Tamagawa Station on foot. You might find a black cat at the entrance of the park. It looked like wanting to have some food from visitors. It was sitting still even though I approached very close to it. It is quite friendly to humans.
These trees were also standing high at the entrance. They were just tall trees without leaves, but once I clipped the branched figures with the background of the blue sky, it gave me the gentle and delicate impressions.
You know this plant? If you get into the bush, these seeds will be attached to your clothes with their needles. They make your body tingle. Yes. They are harmful.
But they can be a subject of photography in the sunset time because the needles of the seeds reflect the sunlight well. If you use your macro lens, the seeds will be a good bokeh to decorate your photo.
A caring couple can always make me smile. They look very nice. And... I'm approaching to the river now!
To my surprise, the clouds were spreading along the horizon so I couldn't take photos of the sun itself. But instead, I managed to shoot this reddish river at dusk. Ah, this is why Hyogoshima Park is designated as one of the Top 8 Landscapes of Tama River.
I was satisfied with the photo of the river and turned around. Then, I found the moon right above the building. The building was being shed by the orange sunlight, and the sky still looked blue. The white moon looked bright and appealing over the contrast of the orange and the blue.
Well, this photo was beyond my expectation. I hadn't seen more beautiful station than this one. The white station got reddish in the sunset time, and the pond of Hyogoshima Park reflected the white station and the green railway. I love this atmosphere which makes me sad for some reason.
I learned today that I can find new subjects of photography even at the places I've been to many times if I look closely at each object.
